Eighteen members of the Maleny Mob trekked to Woodford to compete in a Single Stroke Medley Event. The recent spate of good scores continued with many of the group bettering their handicaps. Margaret Trigger won the overall competition. Maleny results were

On Monday 21st October, Cr Jenny McKay and officers from Sunshine Coast Regional Council visited our golf range to announce Council’s decision on the Maleny Golf Club lease approval and to sign some documents forming part of the lease. Continue reading
After 12 years of negotiation (and some frustration), we are pleased to announce that Council, at its Ordinary Meeting on Thursday 17 October 2013, approved the lease agreement with the Maleny Golf Club. We are especially happy that this was a unanimous decision by Council. We are very grateful to the Council Officers who worked closely with Cr Jenny McKay and the Golf Club Committee to achieve this outcome. Continue reading
In some ways our Club has been inspired by the philosophy of the Machrihanish Dunes Course on the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland, completed in 2009. It made great use of the natural assets resulting in an outstanding 18 hole golf course built for around 1.5 million pounds. Its moto was “Golf as it began”. Read the Machrihanish Dunes Story here.
