Saturday 31st December 2016 – 18 Holes Stroke MPR Mens’ Monthly Medal

Always a stern test off the blue markers and despite the spirited assault mounted by a number of A Graders, Sean Daines’ course record of 72 did not fall when Blake Wellington’s putt for par on the 18th did not find the hole. Congratulations to our three divisional winners Gary Dallyn, Dave Nielsen and Graham Shoebridge and to John Hay who got nearest the pin on the 3rd and also became the first recipient of the new Maleny Mug. Saturday 24th December 2016 – 18 Holes Single Stableford Medley

Great to see players from Beerwah, Kilcoy and Nambour playing in our Saturday competition. Apart from a couple of scuds the weather was perfect for golf. Congratulations to Graham Shoebridge who won on a counback from Garry Dallyn with 41 points. Greg Childe-Freeman took the Bronze with 40 points while son Noah got nearest the pin on the 3rd and Peter Gilbert got it on the 5th. Continue reading

Tuesday 20th December 2016 – 18 Holes Vets / Seniors Stableford Medley

Maleny was blessed with great weather and a fantastic day with representatives from Blackbutt, Tin Can Bay, Nanango and Caloundra among the field of 38 players who took part in our fourth Vets/ Seniors competition.

Our winner on 42 points was Jan Johnston, but as he was underage Neil Ferguson from Blackbutt won “the biggest meat I’ve ever taken home” with 37 points. Gordon Smith from Tin Can Bay was third on 36 points after a count back from Mark Burgess of Nanango and took home a $20 voucher as a reward for making the trip.
