The BOM radar screen in the clubhouse proved unreliable as the field got drenched while playing the first 9 before the weather settled sufficiently for us to all dry out! Michael Burgis relished the unsettled conditions to post a winning score of 42 points – 2 clear of runner-up John Fairman on 40. Always a stern test off the blue markers and despite the spirited assault mounted by a number of A Graders, Sean Daines’ course record of 72 did not fall when Blake Wellington’s putt for par on the 18th did not find the hole.
