Captain Robin Hay’s novelty event got the better of most teams who struggled to post a score in the low 20s. Our winners on the day were Michael Burgis and Cory Zammit with a score of 29 points – one clear of runners up Brandon Ewing and Don Lemon. Nearest the pins went to Bob Leach on the 3rd and Geoff Smith on the 5th.

The golf was as hot as the thermometer as Maleny best of the best battled it out for the 2016 Medal of Medals and a place on the club’s honour boards. Congratulations to Jan Johnston who took our the Men’s Medal with a net 68 on a countback from Peter Gilbert.
Nevertheless Bill Reynolds still won the day with a net 66. Congratulations also go to Christine Lemon who won the Ladies’ Medal with a net 72 – 2 shots ahead of runner up Liz Mellish.
