Maleny turned on perfect Spring weather for the club to host today’s Glasshouse Mountains Zone Junior Golf Association Futures Tournament involving a field of almost 50 players competing in 18-hole, 9-hole, 6-hole and 3-hole formats.

It was particularly exciting to see both our men’s and ladies Par 70 course records fall to two impressive young players of the future. Our congratulations go to 18-year-old Caloundra member Sean Daines who shot 72 off the Blue Championship markers and 17-year-old Woodford member Jessica Cook who shot 82 (both pictured).

Thanks to all those organisers, volunteers and mums and dads who made it possible. And a special thanks to all the young players. We look forward to seeing you all back at Maleny Golf Club soon.
