The Maleny Rotary Club recently gave the Golf Club a grant of $600 towards the cost of 6 solid red gum bench seats.

The seats have now been built and placed around the course; a couple of the seats have been sited at points where both golfers and trail walkers can use them.

We acknowledge the contribution by Rotary and the team of golfers/woodworkers ( Lionel Tilley, Gary McCosker, Jim Gemmel, Bryan Orr and Geoff Behncken) who built the seats using timber, facilities and expertise provided by the Blackall Range Woodcrafters Guild (the Woodies) at their Montville workshop.

So when you are playing the 5th hole for example, you can rest up on a seat while you contemplate the best angle of approach shot to get you a hole-in-one.”
